Oy. I am crazy with goals.

#1. November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo, pronounced Na-No-Ree-Mo). I have been working on a particular novel for a few months now, but I am going to pause this work in progress to start and complete a new idea in the month of November. The goal is 50,000 words in one month and a completed idea . . . not to say it will be completely finished with editing and changes and all that. Anyways, I am excited about this one. I love to write and having an idea already makes me all the more motivated.

#2. Steven, unbeknownst to him, has inspired me to keep my house clean. He has been so faithful in cooking wonderful meals for Davie and I whenever he can. It makes us feel so special and loved as he does this service for us. I wanted to have something very specific that I could do for my family to make them feel special and loved. I am not a great cleaner, nor am I highly motivated to clean when I know it will be but moments before it is destroyed . . . but I believe making my husband feel special is way more motivating. So hopefully all this month I will keep my house clean, or at least picked up on the busiest of days.

#3. These two goals will hopefully lead to time being spent purposefully . . . something I have slackened in since I do not have a traditional full-time job anymore. The days do seem to flitter away and I have done seemingly nothing.

#4. I hope to also spend money more purposefully . . . or moreover NOT spend money. Christmas is coming and we are still wanting to have more cushion in our savings account in case of emergencies.

So there's that.
