Day 30- Who are you?

A long time ago, in WMU came
a loud, blonde girl with an ethnic name.
She played the guitar with the best of the men.
I decided I wanted her for my very own friend.

So I wooed her into playing music with me.
Thus began our epic amicable journey.
But after college, our lives diverged.
It was only on occasion that our paths would merge.

Each time it seemed like no time had passed.
Like we were back in college, skipping class.
Finally, Marquette came back to OK.
This movement made Kinsey Charles's day.

We were able to enjoy each other's company
more than once in a century.
I remembered how positive her outlook was on the day
that we sat with a flat on the side of the highway.

One of the things I would offer as flatter
is how she doesn't waste time on things that don't matter.
Friendship, laughter, her mind, and her God.
This makes me wish we were truly two peas in a pod.

Marquette, you are brilliant and funny and kind.
I love you dearly, heart, soul, and mind.

Just wanted to say I've been reading your Blog exercise posts and think it's a really awesome idea. It's neat to get to "know" people even though you've never actually met them!
